  • William Henry Peter Hampson born about 1871. William died at the age of 13, having met his death whilst serving as a Cadet on the Clyde Training Ship "Cumberland". (Source: GRO, Edinburgh/ 1884 Register of Deaths, District 510/2 Entry 19). Details: William Henry Peter Hampson. Deceased was under training on board the Clyde Training Ship "Cumberland", single. On 18th day of August 1884 in Loch Long opposite Ardentinny on board the "Cumberland" lying in the Gareloch of river, Dumbartonshire. Father Peter Hampson, Labourer, mother Emily King. Cause accidental drowning, body was not recovered. Registered on the information of the Procurator Fiscalís Office Inverary. Registered 27th September 1884 at Kilmun. William Baird Registrar
  • Arthur McIndoe Hampson born 1873 in Lanarkshire. Arthur did not survive to adulthood, at the age of 12 on 29th July 1885, at Mosspark Industrial School, near Glasgow. Glasgow. Cause of death was "Inflammation of the brain". Source - GRO, Edinburgh. 1885 Register of Deaths, District 644/3, entry 1239.

  • Francis Hampson Born 1st June 1876 at 268 High Street, Glasgow. (Source: GRO, Edinburgh. B1876 Area: 644/5 Entry: 865). Like his brother before him Francis did not survive childhood.   • Mark Alfred King Hampson my paternal Grandfather. Born on 5th June 1888 in Glasgow, Mark survived the childhood illnesses of that time, and married. He and his wife would raise 9 children to adulthood.
  • Walter Hampson As yet no research carried out on this member of the family. The 1891 Census gives his age as 1 year, so he would have been born in 1890. It is known that he survived to marry and raise his own family
